Each practice lesson focuses on notes that rhythmically last for one beat or more, or Beat+.

A natural starting point is with the semibreves where the note needs pitching correctly for all 4 beats.

Moving to the minims for two beats then the crotchets for one beat gives a natural development for learning to pitch the notes faster while playing them for less beats.

A practice lesson has multiple activities starting at a slower tempo then the next will be a little faster.

Two different pitches are practiced in each activity changing for the next.

Once the individual note is played for less than a beat, <Beat, it is an advantage to start with the longest note, the quaver then move through the triplets to the semiquavers.

Practice lessons in <Beat follow the same method as Beat+ so should be easy to follow.

Please choose to buy practice lessons individually or through our monthly subscription to get access to both Members Areas which mirror Beat+ and <Beat.
